Wichita, KS – Snow White Carpet Cleaning

logo-snow-whiteIf you are looking to have your carpet cleaned in Wichita, you might have come across the name Snow White Carpet Cleaning. Are they worth hiring? Do they look legitimate or should they be avoided. Here is what we think.

Method of Cleaning

This is of course one of the most important things to look at. As a consumer, you might think that any method is as good as another, but this is not true. There is only one method that is recommended by nearly every carpet mill and that is Hot Water Extraction or Steam Cleaning. It is the method that is safest for your carpet and that can remove the most soil. This is the method that Snow White uses, so thumbs up on method.

When it comes to steam cleaning, a company can either use a portable cleaning unit or a truck mounted machine. Truck mounted machines are much more expensive and offer higher heat, vacuum power and water flow. All things being equal, they can get a carpet cleaner and get it dry faster than a portable machine. Snow White uses truck mounted machines, so another thumbs up on equipment.

Other Cleaning Services

I like to see a company offer a set of complimentary services that go well with carpet cleaning. There is a limit though because I feel that if a company offers too many services, they never master them. Snow White checks out here because they offer the standard carpet cleaning add on services. This includes hard surface cleaning, upholstery cleaning, area rug cleaning and pet odor removal. They  also offer air duct cleaning but I suggest consumers call an air conditioning company for this service. Overall, thumbs up on the services offered by Snow White.

Cleaning Prices

You want a company that is up front with their prices and tells you exactly what is included. Snow White gives a good estimate of the cleaning cost and tells you exactly what is included. They include just about everything that you would want in a carpet cleaning, including protection. Their prices seem to be in line with standard pricing for the area.

Website Overview

It is not crucial that a company has a good website but a professional website that is factual goes a long way towards showing that a company is credible. Snow White has a website that is professional and very informative as well. The information is factual with no misleading statements.

Reviews

Finally, lets take a look at the reviews. If a company is leaving behind unhappy customers, they will usually try to tell people about it. I will start with Yelp because that is the source that I trust the most. As of the writing of this article, the company had no Yelp reviews. A look down the page revealed that they had a couple of filtered reviews that were both favorable. Yelp reviews can be filtered because they look suspicious to Yelp. This does not mean that they are fake, Yelp is just over cautious with a stringent filter. That being said, one of the reviews is from a web developer, the same one who made the website. Hmmmm, just a bit of a conflict of interest there.

Besides Yelp, I had a hard time finding any company reviews. No bad ones though. I would encourage the owner of the company to get their real customers to leave some reviews.

Conclusion

So now is the part where I tell you if I would hire this company if I needed a carpet cleaner in Wichita. I do not like the lack of reviews but there do not seem to be a lot of companies in Wichita with reviews at all so I will look past this. Based on the quality of the website, the fact that the company tells you exactly what is included and the method being used, YES I would hire this company.

Tucson, AZ – Dave’s Carpet & Tile Cleaning

Today, we are taking a look at Dave’s Carpet Cleaning in Tucson, AZ. At first glance, they appear to be a good old fashioned “mom and pop” type carpet cleaning company, but let’s take a little closer look and see if we would hire them.

Carpet Cleaning Method

First, we need to look at the carpet cleaning method that is being used. The only method that we can recommend for residential carpet cleaning is steam cleaning or hot water extraction. This is the method that has the ability to remove the most soil and it is the method that Dave’s uses. They also use truck mounted machinery which is important because they have the ability to clean better than portable equipment. Truck mounted machines produce more heat, vacuum power and flow more water. This results in cleaner carpet that typically dries faster. Points to Dave’s Carpet & Tile Cleaning for the method and equipment used.

Additional Services Offered

Dave’s offers a good variety of additional services including upholstery cleaning, tile cleaning, rug cleaning, Saltillo tile cleaning and even spot cleaning. This is a good variety of services and is not too much for one company. I frown on companies offering a hundred different services, t=so this is just right.

Cleaning Prices

This is the only thing that gives me pause about this company. Their prices advertised online seem to be a little low. This is often a sign of hidden charges to come, but they are not so low that they are obviously trying to trick you. Still, I would almost expect for there to be some additional fees. At the time of the writing of this article, one special was for carpet cleaning for $22 a room. This is very low and I would want the company to list exactly what is included for this price.

Website Review

A company does not have to have an outstanding website to be good, but a good website speaks volumes about a company. It should be, at the minimum, factual and professional looking. Dave’s Carpet Cleaning’s website is basic but factual. One thing does make me chuckle though and, if you are a Southpark fan, you probably noticed it right away. The character on the logo bears a striking resemblance to Towlie. You be the judge.

Carpet Cleaning Reviews

Let’s now look at one of the best factors to investigate, reviews. Happy customers do not always leave reviews, but angry ones sure do. I typically start with Yelp because they are hard for companies to manipulate so are fairly accurate in most cases. At the time I wrote this, the company had 3 reviews on Yelp and all of them were five star reviews. The reviewers spoke of quality and fair prices. They also had an A+ rating at the BBB at that time.

My Opinion

So after all of this, would I hire them if I needed a Tucson carpet cleaner. Yes, I would and I think that if you did the same, you would get a good carpet cleaning service. I suggest you ask exactly what is included in the price when scheduling though.

Phoenix, AZ – Done Your Way Carpet Cleaning Services

Carpet-Cleaners-Phoenix-AZWhile researching Phoenix carpet cleaning services, I came across Done Your Way Carpet Cleaning. I decided to look further into their company and online presence. Here is what I found and what I think of them.

Method of Cleaning

They do not really get into carpet cleaning methods on their website much (I’ll get to their website in a bit) but from their Yelp pictures it is clear that they do hot water extraction. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning his the method that most carpet manufacturers recommend so thumbs up on this.

Other Cleaning Services

I like to see carpet cleaners offer a few complimentary services but not every service for a home. Done Your Way offers carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile cleaning and air duct cleaning. These are pretty much staples in the carpet cleaning industry so this is good. Not too many services offered and not too little.

Prices

The price that they advertise on the website, as of the writing of this article, is $24 per room. This is below average and if they honor that price, it is a very good deal. I’ll assume that they honor this price, if they do not, I am sure that I will see so when I research reviews in a bit.

Website

You can tell a lot about a company from their website. A professional website can go a long way towards creating a good company image. Their website is slick but, quite frankly, it makes me want to hate them. If you are going to put vehicle pictures on your website, do not photoshop your logo on to them. Even if you are good at photoshop, you can always tell. They also make a lot of claims about being voted number one but never really say who voted them that way. I was voted the best writer in the United States this month. It was quite an achievement, my daughter was the deciding vote. They also state that they have served the Phoenix area for over 20 years. This contradicts their Yelp page which states that they have been in business since 2005, 10 years and that the owner started cleaning carpets in 2002, 13 years. The overall feeling about this website, and this is based on seeing a lot of carpet cleaning websites, is deception.

Reviews

If you are a bad carpet cleaning company, you can not hide for long from reviews. Yelp, my go to source for reviews, has only one approved review on this company and it is a 5 star review. They also have many filtered reviews which are also positive. Reviews are filtered by chance or because the Yelp filter has identified them as being possibly bogus. Turning to Google, I see many favorable reviews as well. I give them thumbs up on the reviews.

My Opinion

In my opinion, this is a relatively young company that has gotten a little carried away with its claims. I want to hate them because many of the things that I see on the website are deceptive. Still, with the good reviews that I see I would be willing to give them a chance. My overall opinion is that YES, I would hire them. My advice for the owner though is to clean up the website a bit and stay consistent with your company information across different websites.

Phoenix, AZ – Shaggy’s Carpet Cleaning

Starting our review process on Phoenix area carpet cleaners, we came across Shaggy’s Carpet Cleaning. If you have done any research yet on carpet cleaning, you have probably also come across them. They have great rankings on search engines. Great rankings do not always mean a great company though, so are they worth hiring? Keep reading and learn for yourself.

Method of Cleaning

It appears that this company uses multiple methods of carpet cleaning. Their cheapest cleaning is encapsulation cleaning which, for residential carpets, I can not highly recommend. It involves applying a shampoo that is designed to trap soil and then crystalize. The customer will then vacuum the crystalized shampoo from the carpet once it is dry. This method is best suited for commercial carpets where they are cleaned often. The soil load in a residential carpet is generally just too high for this method to be effective.

The other method they use is hot water extraction or steam cleaning. This is a good method and is the one suggested by most carpet manufacturers. It has a high soil removal ability and is well suited for residential carpet. They also offer the option of using the Rotovac rotary extractor which is good but I would rather see them use it on every carpet instead of as an add on. Overall, they get a thumbs up for offering steam cleaning.

Other Cleaning Services

I am always weary of companies that offer too many services. I like to see them specialize in a few carpet related services so that they are more adept at them. They offer all of the basics like upholstery cleaning, tile cleaning and water damage restoration which is good. They also offer air duct cleaning although I usually recommend consumers hire an HVAC company for this service as they will be more familiar with air conditioning systems than carpet cleaners.

Cleaning Prices

They offer two levels of service. Basic steam cleaning at 25 cents per square foot and Rotovac cleaning at 50 cents per square foot. At 25 cents per square foot, they are at about the average price for carpet cleaning but at the higher Rotovac price, they are well above the average price. They also seem to have a lot of extra charges for heavily soiled areas and extra chemical boosters. I am a bit leery of their pricing model because it looks like it leaves the door wide open for extra surprise charges.

Website Overview

It is a bit trivial, but I feel that a good website speaks to the professionalism of a company. I think that could give a bit more information about what is included and be ab it more straight forward with pricing. There are also a few dead in links and they could benefit from a home button on the top of the page. Overall, a B rating on the website which is not bad in the world of carpet cleaning.

Reviews

Finally, one of the most important steps when researching a carpet cleaner is looking at online reviews. Let’s take a look at Yelp and see what people are saying. As of the writing of this article, they had 15 reviews with a 4 star average. Not too bad. Of the negative reviews people complained of hidden charges and up-selling. Based on my analysis of their pricing I am not surprised. On the positive side, most of the reviews were very good and the owner of the company responded to the negative reviews with an offer to make it right.

My Opinion

So now you probably want to know if I would choose this company. I have reservations about this company because of the pricing system that they use. I have no problem with their cleaning method, aside from their encapsulation method, as steam cleaning especially with a rotary tool, does a great job. There should not be such a large increase in the price to use this tool. Double the price is way too much. In addition, all of the little extras that they could charge will really add up. Ultimately, NO, I would not hire this company. I think they would do good work but it would cost way too much for what you get.

Phoenix, AZ – Paradise Carpet Cleaning

paradise-carpet-cleaning-300x254Looking for a good carpet cleaner in Phoenix? There are lots of good carpet cleaner in this city and, unfortunately, lots of bad ones. Which category does Paradise Carpet Cleaning fall into? Read along and I will give you my opinion as a professional carpet cleaner.

Method of Carpet Cleaning

There are lots of different carpet cleaning methods out there but, in most cases, you want to choose steam cleaning for residential carpet cleaning. This is the method that most carpet manufacturers recommend because it is safe for the carpet and has the ability to remove the most soil. Residential carpets are typically not cleaned often enough and contain a great deal of soil. Steam cleaning or hot water extraction can deal with these high soil loads better than other dry cleaning methods. Paradise Carpet Cleaning uses the steam cleaning method and also uses the best form of this method, truck mounted steam cleaning. Truck mount machines produce more heat, water flow and higher vacuum levels. They typically leave carpets cleaner and drier than portable machines. So, thumbs up on the method of carpet cleaning used by this company.

Other Cleaning Services

I like to see carpet cleaning companies offer a few complimentary services but do not like to see them offer dozens of different services. If you do too many things, you never master an individual one. Paradise Carpet Cleaning offers an appropriate amount of services including upholstery cleaning and tile and grout cleaning. Another thumbs up.

Prices

Up front pricing is one of the first things that you should look for in a carpet cleaner. Carpet cleaners that hide their pricing or advertise ridiculously low prices should be avoided in most cases. Paradise Carpet Cleaning clearly states that their prices are, as of the writing of this article 20 to 25 cents per square foot. With the average room being about 180 SF, that makes their average price between $36 and $45 a room. This is a reasonable price. The only negative that I see is that there may be an additional charge for heavy soiling.  This is written at the bottom of the pricing page and is a statement used by some carpet cleaners to pave the way to hidden charges. I would like to see that statement removed, it makes me question their pricing.

Website

A company does not have to have a great website to be a good company but it helps to cement their professional image. A website should be clean, concise and informative. Aside from a “cute” logo at the top, the website is just okay. It needs some more information on what is included in the price. For example, is furniture moving included, is there a guarantee? Overall, the website doesn’t project a professional image, in my opinion.

Reviews

Company reviews are very important. My go to website for this is Yelp. Yelp reviews are much harder to manipulate than other review websites. This is because Yelp has an aggressive filter in place to screen out fake ones. Good reviews sometimes get caught in this filter but overall, it does a good job. The reviews for Paradise Carpet Cleaning were excellent, all speaking of the high quality of the company. At the time this article was written, the company had 127 reviews and maintained a 5 out of 5 star rating. A big thumbs up on the reviews.

My Opinion

Overall, If I were looking for a carpet cleaner in Phoenix, I would give this company a try. There are a few things taht I do not like, but they appear to be legitimate and to care about quality.

Memphis, TN – Nelson Carpet Cleaning

0_0_0_0_230_172_csupload_61423540The good thing about the carpe cleaning industry is that there are a number of great “Mom & Pop” type companies around. You tend to get better service from a small company but it does not guarantee a good job. Nelson Carpet Cleaning is a small company serving the Memphis, TN area. Are they worth hiring or should you pass them by? Let’s find out.

Method of Cleaning

There are a lot of carpet cleaning methods on the market, but the one that works the best for residential situations is Steam Cleaning or Hot Water Extraction. It is the only method recommended by most carpet mills because it is both safe and effective. I feel other dry cleaning methods are best left for commercial carpets that are cleaned often. Nelson Carpet Cleaning using the Steam Cleaning method and uses truck mounted machinery. This is important because these gas engine powered machines produce more heat, vacuum and water pressure. They allow operators to get your carpet cleaner and drier than portable machinery. Thumbs up for the carpet cleaning method and system.

Other Cleaning Services

Some companies like to offer every service under the sun. The result is that they never master any individual one. In my opinion, carpet cleaners should just offer the basic complimentary services like upholstery cleaning and hard floor cleaning. I even frown on air duct cleaning because it is a service that is better suited to HVAC companies. Nelson Carpet Cleaning offers the basic services that I first mentioned, so thumbs up.

Prices

Prices for carpet cleaning can vary greatly depending on the level of service being offered. When shopping for carpet cleaning, the thing that you should keep in mind is that you get what you pay for. Avoid companies that are claiming to be offering a super cheap price. You can not clean a carpet for $10 a room and make money. A carpet cleaner would go broke quickly at that rate unless they had hidden charges.

You should also try to find a comply that is up front with their pricing and that includes everything needed for a basic cleaning gin the price. Nelson Carpet Cleaning clearly states what is included but is a little vague about actual prices. From what I can gather from their Angie’s List reviews though, their prices seem to be on the higher side of average. Thumbs up overall.

Website Overview

A company website should be professional and should contain factual information and statements. Their website is accurate and gives you a good amount of information but it could benefit from a refresh. I would give it a B rating but it does not turn me off completely.

Reviews

This is probably the single best factor in judging a company, the reviews. Just as important as the reviews is the source of the review. Many sites are easy to “game” and you can tell that companies write their own reviews. The most trusted source for reviews, in my opinion, is Yelp. They have a tough filter that screens out reviews if there is a chance that it is fake. This often ends up screening out legit reviews, but overall it works well. As of the time of the writing of this article, Nelson Carpet Cleaning had 15 reviews with all of them being 5 stars. The reviews spoke of quality and commitment to leaving behind happy customers. Big thumbs up here.

My Final Opinion

Taking everything into consideration, I would definitely consider hiring this company if I needed carpet cleaning in Memphis. It seems like a good owner operated business that aims to please their clients.

Memphis, TN – Bill the Butler Carpet Cleaning

At the Carpet Critic we are working to build the best list of local carpet cleaning services. We can not of course test every cleaner in the city but instead we research them for you. Using our industry knowledge, we can tell you if a company is full of hot air or seems to be legit. We look through the information available and tell you if we ourselves would give the company a shot. So, what is the verdict with Bill The Butler? Keep reading and we will let you know if we would hire this company.

Method of Cleaning

There are lots of methods out there but only one that we recommend for residential carpet cleaning. That method is Hot Water Extraction, often referred to as Steam Cleaning. This method is recommended by most mills and is capable of dealing with the high soil loads that a residential carpet is bound to have. Other methods may work decently for frequent commercial cleaning, but not for residential work. Bill The Butler does use the Steam Cleaning method and also uses truck mounted equipment. This is good because truck mounted machines outclass portable equipment and leave your carpet drier. Thumbs up on the method used by Bill.

Other Cleaning Services

We like to see specialization in floor and upholstery care. A company should offer complimentary services but not every home service imaginable. This is especially true for smaller companies where a technician would be asked to do to many things and never master a specific service. Bill The Butler offers just about the right amount of complimentary services although I do not like the venture into things like yard work and maid service. I would like to see a little more professionalism as a carpet cleaner. Overall, this does not negatively affect my opinion of the company though.

Prices

I like to see up front pricing and clear definition of what is included. Bill has up front pricing, that is for sure, but I would like to see exactly what is included in their standard service. Does it include vacuuming, furniture moving, etc. Overall, there prices seem reasonable and competitive. Not overly cheap which is a warning sign of bait and switch companies. Thumbs up on the pricing even if it is a bit vague.

Website Overview

A website shows how professional a company is. Not a necessity, but a clean and professional website makes a company look better in my eyes. It needs work Bill, that’s all Im going to say.

Reviews

The most important thing to check out is a companies reviews. My go to source is Yelp, but I will check others as well. Yelp reviews seem to be more accurate because they are harder to manipulate. As of the writing of this article, the company had two reviews and both of them were five stars. This is good but the reviews were 2 years old with no recent activity.

After Yelp, I checked the BBB page. The company is not accredited, but an accredited company is only a company that pays the BBB (a for profit company) to carry their logo. The BBB still tracks complaints. Bill The Butler had no complaints.

My Opinion

So after all of this, what is my opinion? Would I hire this company? There are a few things that I would like clarified but YES, I would hire this company. Just be sure to have the owner specify what is included in the base cleaning price. They seem to be an honest company with a good track record so they are worth trying.

Las Vegas, NV – J2 Carpet Cleaning

gen_204.1.gifJ2 Carpet Cleaning has been in the Las Vegas area for some time, since 2003 to be exact. Carpet cleaners come and go in Vegas so does this longevity speak to quality service? Keep reading and I will give you my opinion.

Method Of Cleaning

First, lets look at the method of carpet cleaning. For residential carpets, the only method that I will ever recommend is hot water extraction or steam cleaning. This is the method that J2 uses so thumbs up on the method. They also use truck mounted machines which is another plus because truck mounted machines produce more heat and vacuum power. All things being equal, a carpet cleaned with a truck mounted machine will look better than one cleaned with portable steam cleaning equipment. Just to kick it up one more notch, J2 uses a CRB or counter rotating brush machine to prescrub the carpet. This should allow them to pull up more soil from the base of the carpet and allows them to agitate their cleaning solution to make it more effective.

Other Cleaning Services

You always want your carpet cleaner to offer a few complimentary services such as upholstery cleaning and other related tasks. What I frown on is companies that offer too many services. J2 offers all of the normal extra services including upholstery cleaning, tile cleaning and commercial floor cleaning. They also offer janitorial service for commercial clients which I am not to keen on but I am sure that they do this as a way to earn commercial flooring jobs. Overall, thumbs up on extra services offered.

Cleaning Prices

You want reasonable pricing,m but you also want there to be no hidden charges. J2 Clean seems to charge a bit higher than the competition, but you must consider that scrubbing that they do on the carpet before cleaning. This takes a lot of extra time, which is why most carpet cleaners do not do it. Time is money. The most important thing is that J2 includes everything needed for a carpet cleaning in their base price and they clearly state that. A lot of companies will advertise a low price but then hit you with hidden charges once they get you on the hook. J2 Carpet Cleaning once again gets a thumbs up from me on pricing. They charge a bit more than average, but you will most likely get your moneys worth.

Company Website

It is not crucial that a company have a great website, but I like to take a close look at their website and make sure that the information that they present is accurate. A lot of companies like to use misleading and false information and most consumers will not know the difference. Their website is a little rough, and I would encourage the owner to update i.e., but all of the information is factual. They also clearly state what you will be getting for your money. Thumbs up again on the website.

Reviews

This is of course one of the most telling things about a company, the reviews. I always turn to Yelp for reviews. Yep does a good job of weeding out fake reviews with an aggressive filter. It sometimes removes legitimate reviews, but overall, it does a much better job than places like Google or Yahoo. As of the time this article was written, J2 Clean had 77 reviews. Four were 4 star and the rest were 5 stars. The reviewers spoke of quality and many posted before and after pictures. The owner of the company also engaged the reviewers which is a plus. Big thumbs up on the reviews.

Conclusion

So, after looking at everything would I hire this company? As a professional carpet cleaner, I would definitely give this company a try. They seem to care about the work and appear to be honest. This is something that is hard to find in the carpet cleaning industry and is why this website exists. So, need a Las vegas carpet cleaning? Consider J2 Clean.

Denver, CO – Zerorez of Denver

logoOne of the newest large companies to the carpet cleaning industry is Zerorez. They have grown rapidly and can now be found in just about every major city. Being a big company does not guarantee that they are a good one however. So, should you hire them? Let’s take a closer look at this company.

Method of Cleaning

The main method used by Zerorez is steam cleaning or hot water extraction. They try to separate themselves from other carpet cleaners by using what they call “empowered water” but they are essentially just another steam cleaning company. This is not a bad thing because steam cleaning is perhaps the best carpet cleaning method on the market for most carpets. It is the method recommended by most carpet manufacturers, so I give Zerorez of Denver credit for using this method.

Other Cleaning Services

Like most carpet cleaners in Denver, Zerorez offers a number of additional services. They also clean upholstery, area rugs, stone, granite and offer water damage restoration.

Cleaning Prices

Zerorez pricing, at least the advertised specials, are consistent with the average price of carpet cleaning. When looking at the specials, you should know that additional rooms will be higher than the special price. For example, using the current special valid at the time of writing this article, your first three rooms are $40 per room but additional rooms, over the first three, are $50 per room. The special price is consistent with average pricing but the additional rooms are priced a little higher than the average cleaning price. You should consider just doing the three room special and cleaning more rooms at another time.

Like most carpet cleaners, you should be wary of the upsell and should insist on getting the special price. Basic spotting and pretreatment should be included. The only thing that you should pay extra for would be specialty spotting (such as wine or ink), pet stain removal or carpet protector. Having said that, I give Zerorez credit for posting their prices on the website and for them being reasonable.

Website Overview

The website is clean, well organized and professional. I like the online scheduling, which is something that too few carpet cleaners use.

Reviews

Now, let’s look into the company reviews. What better way to tell how a company operates that to listen to former customers. One of the best sources to do so on is Yelp. They are harder for companies to manipulate so they are generally my go to source for reviews. Zerorez of Denver has, currently, 28 reviews and a 4.5 overall rating. Of the negative reviews on Yelp, most complained of hidden charges. I would have liked to see the negative reviews responded to by the owner but since most of the reviews are 5 star and their overall rating is great, I give them credit for their Yelp page.

Conclusion

So, in conclusion, you probably want to know if I would hire Zerorez. The answer is Yes but with a few conditions. I would stick to cleaning just what the special offered (no extra rooms) and would be wary of extra charges. If the bill doubles when they get there, send them packing. Overall though, they seem like a company that you can trust.

Denver, CO – 1st Place Carpet Cleaning

everest_jjd5-297x3001st Place Carpet Cleaning is a smaller, family owned and operated carpet cleaning service in the Denver area. Usually, family owned businesses provide a high level of customer service, but this is not always the case. Is it the case with 1st Place? Keep reading and find out.

Method of Cleaning

1st Place uses steam cleaning or hot water extraction as their primary method of carpet cleaning. In addition, they also use truck mounted carpet cleaning units. Truck mounted machines clean better because they produce more water flow, heat and vacuum power. This results in a carpet that gets cleaner and dries much faster. If the machine on the front of their website is the one that they use, it is an outstanding one. The porch Everest is one of the stronger cleaning machines on the market. It may bone a bit of overkill for residential use but you can be assured that it will leave your carpet clean and fairly dry. Thumbs up on the method.

Other Cleaning Services

In addition to carpet cleaning, 1st Place of Denver seems to also offer carpet repair, air duct cleaning and upholstery cleaning. Like most steam cleaners, they also offer emergency water removal services. This is consistent with what most companies offer.

Cleaning Prices

From what I have gathered in my research of this company, prices seem to be fair and consistent with average prices in the area. They may even be a bit cheaper than some of the bigger companies. Again, thumbs up for their pricing.

Website Overview

The company website leads much to be desired. It is very basic and looks like it was made about 20 years ago. The scrolling text has got to go and as much of a dog lover as I am, I don’t need to meet yours. The website could go into detail on their services a bit more and could use a pricing or specials page.

Reviews

This is where it is all at, reviews. For reviews, I turn to Yelp because they are consistently more reliable. This is because companies have a much harder time manipulating them. They have 51 reviews, at the time of the writing of this article, with 46 of them being 5 stars. There is one 1 star review but it is just from someone who says they never called them back. Nothing to do with quality and perhaps an accident, it happens.

Because of all of the 5 star reviews I decided to look at the non recommended reviiews from Yelp. In case you are unaware, there is a link at the bottom of the Yelp page which lets you view reviews that have been filtered out by Yelp. These are usually worthless but can sometimes lead you to unhappy customers. Nope, they were all good too. So, a big thumbs up on the reviews for 1st Place Carpet Cleaning.

Conclusion

So, lets get down to it. Would I hire this company. They use a good method, have a great machine, good prices and outstanding reviews. So Yes, I would hire them if I needed a carpet cleaner in Denver. It wouldn’t hurt to drop a few hundred dollars on a proper website but the one they have must be working for them so oh well. If you need a carpet cleaner definitely add them to your list of possibilities.
