J2 Carpet Cleaning has been in the Las Vegas area for some time, since 2003 to be exact. Carpet cleaners come and go in Vegas so does this longevity speak to quality service? Keep reading and I will give you my opinion.
Method Of Cleaning
First, lets look at the method of carpet cleaning. For residential carpets, the only method that I will ever recommend is hot water extraction or steam cleaning. This is the method that J2 uses so thumbs up on the method. They also use truck mounted machines which is another plus because truck mounted machines produce more heat and vacuum power. All things being equal, a carpet cleaned with a truck mounted machine will look better than one cleaned with portable steam cleaning equipment. Just to kick it up one more notch, J2 uses a CRB or counter rotating brush machine to prescrub the carpet. This should allow them to pull up more soil from the base of the carpet and allows them to agitate their cleaning solution to make it more effective.
Other Cleaning Services
You always want your carpet cleaner to offer a few complimentary services such as upholstery cleaning and other related tasks. What I frown on is companies that offer too many services. J2 offers all of the normal extra services including upholstery cleaning, tile cleaning and commercial floor cleaning. They also offer janitorial service for commercial clients which I am not to keen on but I am sure that they do this as a way to earn commercial flooring jobs. Overall, thumbs up on extra services offered.
You want reasonable pricing,m but you also want there to be no hidden charges. J2 Clean seems to charge a bit higher than the competition, but you must consider that scrubbing that they do on the carpet before cleaning. This takes a lot of extra time, which is why most carpet cleaners do not do it. Time is money. The most important thing is that J2 includes everything needed for a carpet cleaning in their base price and they clearly state that. A lot of companies will advertise a low price but then hit you with hidden charges once they get you on the hook. J2 Carpet Cleaning once again gets a thumbs up from me on pricing. They charge a bit more than average, but you will most likely get your moneys worth.
It is not crucial that a company have a great website, but I like to take a close look at their website and make sure that the information that they present is accurate. A lot of companies like to use misleading and false information and most consumers will not know the difference. Their website is a little rough, and I would encourage the owner to update i.e., but all of the information is factual. They also clearly state what you will be getting for your money. Thumbs up again on the website.
This is of course one of the most telling things about a company, the reviews. I always turn to Yelp for reviews. Yep does a good job of weeding out fake reviews with an aggressive filter. It sometimes removes legitimate reviews, but overall, it does a much better job than places like Google or Yahoo. As of the time this article was written, J2 Clean had 77 reviews. Four were 4 star and the rest were 5 stars. The reviewers spoke of quality and many posted before and after pictures. The owner of the company also engaged the reviewers which is a plus. Big thumbs up on the reviews.
So, after looking at everything would I hire this company? As a professional carpet cleaner, I would definitely give this company a try. They seem to care about the work and appear to be honest. This is something that is hard to find in the carpet cleaning industry and is why this website exists. So, need a Las vegas carpet cleaning? Consider J2 Clean.
