We recently came across a company called Colorado Carpet Masters in Denver, Colorado and decided to take a look.
At Carpet Critic, we gather information on the internet and give you our expert opinion on whether you should or should not consider hiring a company.
So, should you hire this company?
Let’s take a closer look at them.
Method of Cleaning
What's in this article...
The method recommended by most carpet mills is hot water extraction, better known as steam cleaning.
Carpet Masters uses the best form of this, truck mounted steam cleaning.
Truck mounted machines produce more heat, water flow and vacuum.
Not every company uses these machines because they are expensive to purchase and operate and the investment in this type of machine speaks to a desire to perform quality work.
In addition, this company uses a power wand to clean.
Power wands are rotary tools that allow the cleaning technician to make more passes than they could with the traditional carpet cleaning wand.
They eliminate the fatigue factor which could cause cleaning technicians to clean poorly once they become tired.
So, power wands should produce a cleaner carpet.
In conclusion, thumbs up on the cleaning method.
Other Cleaning Services
I generally frown on companies that offer too many services.
The phrase jack of all trades, master of none comes to mind.
Colorado Carpet Masters appears to offer just the right amount of add on services that are appropriate for carpet cleaning companies.
They also clean upholstery, tile and do water damage restoration.
I like that the company lists their prices online. This shows that they are not hiding anything.
Colorado Carpet Masters charges for cleaning by the square foot which generally means that they are a luxury cleaning service and their prices will be higher than average.
As of the writing of this article, their prices were 30 cents, 50 cents or 70 cents depending on the level of service that you desire.
At the base price of 30 cents, considering an average room size of 180 square feet, the per room average would be about $54.
This is a bit higher than average but considering that you are getting a premium service using good equipment and a power wand(which does take more time) it is not a crazy price.
The looks of a website are not incredibly important to a company, but a well done and professional website does add to the credibility of a company, in my opinion.
The Colorado Carpet Masters website was clean, professional and informative.
Finally, let’s take a look at the company reviews available online.
Yelp is my go to source for reviews in most cases because companies have a harder time making fake reviews.
The Yelp filter will black out reviews that they think are phony and although this often blacks out good reviews, it is very effective against fake ones.
As of the writing of the article, they had 13 reviews and all of them were 5 stars.
The reviewers cited that the company, which appears to be owner operated, was easy to work with and did quality work.
So, let’s get down to it. Would I hire this company?
Yes, I would absolutely hire this company.
Based on the method of cleaning, professionalism of the website and quality of the reviews, I have no doubt that they produce quality work.
They may be a bit higher than the average carpet cleaner, but you get what you pay for in this business.
