They have grown rapidly and can now be found in just about every major city.
Being a big company does not guarantee that they are a good one however.
So, should you hire them?
Let’s take a closer look at this company.
Method of Cleaning
What's in this article...
The main method used by Zerorez is steam cleaning or hot water extraction.
They try to separate themselves from other carpet cleaners by using what they call “empowered water” but they are essentially just another steam cleaning company.
This is not a bad thing because steam cleaning is perhaps the best carpet cleaning method on the market for most carpets.
It is the method recommended by most carpet manufacturers, so I give Zerorez of Denver credit for using this method.
Other Cleaning Services
Like most carpet cleaners in Denver, Zerorez offers a number of additional services.
They also clean upholstery, area rugs, stone, granite and offer water damage restoration.
Zerorez pricing, at least the advertised specials, are consistent with the average price of carpet cleaning.
When looking at the specials, you should know that additional rooms will be higher than the special price.
For example, using the current special valid at the time of writing this article, your first three rooms are $40 per room but additional rooms, over the first three, are $50 per room.
The special price is consistent with average pricing but the additional rooms are priced a little higher than the average cleaning price.
You should consider just doing the three room special and cleaning more rooms at another time.
Like most carpet cleaners, you should be wary of the upsell and should insist on getting the special price.
Basic spotting and pretreatment should be included. The only thing that you should pay extra for would be specialty spotting (such as wine or ink), pet stain removal or carpet protector.
Having said that, I give Zerorez credit for posting their prices on the website and for them being reasonable.
The website is clean, well organized and professional. I like the online scheduling, which is something that too few carpet cleaners use.
Now, let’s look into the company reviews.
What better way to tell how a company operates that to listen to former customers.
One of the best sources to do so on is Yelp.
They are harder for companies to manipulate so they are generally my go to source for reviews.
Zerorez of Denver has, currently, 28 reviews and a 4.5 overall rating.
Of the negative reviews on Yelp, most complained of hidden charges.
I would have liked to see the negative reviews responded to by the owner but since most of the reviews are 5 star and their overall rating is great, I give them credit for their Yelp page.
So, in conclusion, you probably want to know if I would hire Zerorez.
The answer is Yes but with a few conditions.
I would stick to cleaning just what the special offered (no extra rooms) and would be wary of extra charges.
If the bill doubles when they get there, send them packing.
Overall though, they seem like a company that you can trust.
