While researching Phoenix carpet cleaning services, I came across Done Your Way Carpet Cleaning. I decided to look further into their company and online presence. Here is what I found and what I think of them.
Method of Cleaning
They do not really get into carpet cleaning methods on their website much (I’ll get to their website in a bit) but from their Yelp pictures it is clear that they do hot water extraction. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning his the method that most carpet manufacturers recommend so thumbs up on this.
Other Cleaning Services
I like to see carpet cleaners offer a few complimentary services but not every service for a home. Done Your Way offers carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile cleaning and air duct cleaning. These are pretty much staples in the carpet cleaning industry so this is good. Not too many services offered and not too little.
The price that they advertise on the website, as of the writing of this article, is $24 per room. This is below average and if they honor that price, it is a very good deal. I’ll assume that they honor this price, if they do not, I am sure that I will see so when I research reviews in a bit.
You can tell a lot about a company from their website. A professional website can go a long way towards creating a good company image. Their website is slick but, quite frankly, it makes me want to hate them. If you are going to put vehicle pictures on your website, do not photoshop your logo on to them. Even if you are good at photoshop, you can always tell. They also make a lot of claims about being voted number one but never really say who voted them that way. I was voted the best writer in the United States this month. It was quite an achievement, my daughter was the deciding vote. They also state that they have served the Phoenix area for over 20 years. This contradicts their Yelp page which states that they have been in business since 2005, 10 years and that the owner started cleaning carpets in 2002, 13 years. The overall feeling about this website, and this is based on seeing a lot of carpet cleaning websites, is deception.
If you are a bad carpet cleaning company, you can not hide for long from reviews. Yelp, my go to source for reviews, has only one approved review on this company and it is a 5 star review. They also have many filtered reviews which are also positive. Reviews are filtered by chance or because the Yelp filter has identified them as being possibly bogus. Turning to Google, I see many favorable reviews as well. I give them thumbs up on the reviews.
In my opinion, this is a relatively young company that has gotten a little carried away with its claims. I want to hate them because many of the things that I see on the website are deceptive. Still, with the good reviews that I see I would be willing to give them a chance. My overall opinion is that YES, I would hire them. My advice for the owner though is to clean up the website a bit and stay consistent with your company information across different websites.
